Hi all. Welcome to Meccano For All. On this page, I want to tell you how I taught myself to relax.
MY STORY
I have been working for the past 35 years – 7am to 5pm – Monday to Friday and sometimes Saturdays and Sundays too. I totally forgot about ‘myself’ and life.
As the years went by, my children grew up, moved out, got married and had children. What have I been doing? WORKING!! It got to a point where my husband told me to take my bed and move into my office. To make matters worse, my lifestyle affected my health.
After all these years, I suddenly realized that I need to prioritize –
* Time for work, and
* TIME TO RELAX
I started building Meccano. At first, I started with very small sets. I soon discovered that this made me relax totally and with that, I became very creative and took on more advanced Meccano sets.
Building Meccano became a family hobby. Week-ends we all sit around the table, each with their own project, and we build!
RELAX AND BE CREATIVE
I went through a rough time not maintaining a balance between work, family and relaxation. If my story can help anyone to realize that you don’t have to sacrifice your marriage, happiness and health to keep your job, then it’s a story worth telling.
